What is the Radiology Network?
The Salzburg Radiology Network is a joint project of the radiology institutes Dr. Macheiner, Dr. Kubin, Dr. Kainberger and Dr. Doringer.
What is e-ray?
The network gives referring physicians free online access to all radiological images of the institutes Dr. Macheiner, Dr. Kubin, Dr. Kainberger and Dr. Doringer.
e-ray is a web-based image-sharing system: a practical online tool that lets the referring physician view radiological images easily and quickly, anytime and anywhere, for example:
- X-ray images
- Ultrasound
- CT and MRI examinations
- Bone density
No software installation is required. The online PACS is free of charge and works on PCs, laptops and tablets with a current browser (for example Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari).
How does e-ray work?
e-ray is based on the web PACS solution CareVue by Carestream/Philips and provides secure access to the digital image archive through all common browsers. No software installation is needed.
Access works as follows:
- Using the sign-up form, any referring physician of the network partners can register for the electronic image archive at any time.
- After registration you receive your personal access credentials. Please note: registration can take up to two working days.
- Access is then possible from a desktop as well as from smartphones or tablets.
Why e-ray?
The digital, online image database makes it easy to compare images with previous examinations. The images (ultrasound, X-ray, CT, MRI) can be viewed directly on screen and freely zoomed, adjusted or measured – in the practice and on the go.
Stored data is protected against access by unauthorised persons. Access is only possible over an encrypted connection; the security certificate confirms that it is the server of Radiologie Netzwerk GmbH.
Centrally stored image data benefits patients who are treated at several facilities and physicians who work in more than one practice. Location-independent access saves time and material and improves collaboration between doctor and patient.
Which images can I see as a user?
As a registered user you have access to all images of the patients you have referred – regardless of the institute where the examination was performed.
